Five Alarm Fire Destroys 42 Apartments in Glenmont - June 19, 2005- At 1548 hours, Kensington firefighters responded to the 12100 block of Shorefield Court for the reported fire in the bathroom, box area 1801
Training Burn - April 2, 2005 - Kensington Volunteer Fire Department held a live fire exercise. Multiple interior evolutions were conducted, followed by a final fire intended to burn the home to the ground.

House Fire In Kensington - February 12, 2005 - Kensington Volunteer Fire Department units responded to a house fire on Joseph Mill Road, in Kensington Company 21's area today. First units on the scene reported heavy fire on the first floor of a small single family home.
Layhill Road House Fire - February 11, 2005- Kensington Units responded to the 13600 blk of Layhill Rd for a reported "house on fire". Units arrived to find heavy fire showing on the first and second floor.
Bus, Car, and Pedestrian Involved in Fiery Collision - December 14, 2004 - Units responded to the intersection of Newport Mill Road and College View Drive for the personal injury collision with one pinned under an auto on fire, after colliding with a bus.
