On Saturday, 5/1/10 Medic 705 responded as part of a medical box alarm to an elderly woman trapped in a car under a semi-trailer at a loading doc. On arrival it was determined that the pinned victim had suffered a traumatic amputation to the left arm, with a severe loss of blood. After a complicated and intense 45 minute extrication by multiple responding units, the victim and the severed arm was transported to Suburban Trauma ER, stabilized and later medevac'd to Baltimore Shock Trauma.
